This program provides education for all aspects of CertainTeed shingle installation, covering topics such as workmanship, roof systems, estimating, flashing, ventilation, and product installation.

Lee even has a prestigious and rare Master Shingle Applicator™ Wizard certificate. Because the test to obtain it is optional, not many people attempt it. The fact that Lee worked hard for it just goes to show his dedication to the profession and industry.

In order to receive either certificate, individuals must pass a test based on the CertainTeed Shingle Applicator’s Manual, which discusses the complex requirements and recommendations for the installation of a high-quality shingle roof system. Roofing contractors must renew their certificates every two years by examining any updated information contained in the most recent version of the manual.
